Cheerleading
We are members of the British Cheerleading Association.
Head coach is Tina Powell.
All coaches are N.C.S.S.E (National Council for Spirit Safety & Education) Internationally qualified!
Cheerleading is growing at 60% a year in the UK. The BCA are working hard to get it recognised as a sport in the UK and this should be finalised by the end of this year!
Cheerleading promotes: Fitness, Health and Well-Being, Teamwork, Group dynamics, Problem solving and Relationship building.
Cheerleading skills Arm motions, Jumps, Stunts, Tumbling, Cheers and Chants.
It is also very positive and aswell as lifting young peoples self esteem they make lots of new friends too.
There is an award scheme for 12's and over, and an international coaching scheme for 17's and over.
We have 4 community cheerleading squads!
One Step Beyond PeeWees - Ages 5-11.

More Advanced cheerleadng involves cheernastics ( gymnastics for cheerleaders) and partnerstunts with tumbling dismounts.
To be part of our advanced squads you do not necessarily have to dance. You could be part of the stunt team and enter competitions with us.
We are always looking for extra talent to bring into our friendly team so if you've got it.......bring it!

Official cheerleaders for Stevenage Borough Football Club, MBA Cougars Basketball Club and MBA's Cheer Competition Squad.

One Step Beyond cheerleaders have performed at many venues throughout stevenage and north herfordshire including Rhythms of the World, Hitchin. Stevenage Day, Street Dance Show, Celebrations and The Mayor's Charity Concert at the Gordon Craig Theatre.
They can be seen performing this year at many more.......

This group learn baton twirling skills, play fun games and put together funky routines.
